ripping audio from video

    would any of you guys know how to rip or delete audio from a video file ? I want to delete the english audio off of one of my videos, please help. Thank you in advace.

    Well if this is an avi or mpg file load it into vdub mod
    http://www.afterdawn.com/software/video_software/video_tools/virtualdubmod.cfm
    go to Streams > Stream List then just disable or mute the audio or whatever you want to do and then go to Video > Direct stream copy and then File > Save as avi. This should take a couple of minutes and the video wount lose quality.
    Oh ya if you wnat to rip it select a audio stream under the stream list menu and hit " Save as Wav "

    thanks SOCOMII for the reply, but would this work with .mkv files?

    as long as vitual dub mod can open it it should work. Try it and post your results because ive never tried with a .mkv file. But as far as i know mkv files are supported by virtualdub mod.

    hmm for some reason my virtualdub cannot read the .mkv files it says that it cannot read the file
