Ripping certain parts of a DVD into a wav. file Help!!!!!!!!!

    Ok i got audacity and i have my dvd and all i want to do is import the dvd into the program and export a few second long audio clips of funny lines. but in audacity... IT IS NOT WORKING!!!!!!!!!! please help if some one would be so kind as to explian to me how to do it i would much appreciate it or tell me what program will do what im looking for. thank you
