   hello all, i am going to shorten a standard 4-wire phone cable with RJ12 connectors, but it seems to have a crossover configuration. which way is normal.. crossover or straight? or which way is recommended?

   after inspecting some other pre-made cables of mine, i noticed that they were wired in crossover. so crossover i went.
