I have an ipod which i bought from Ebay and it has 900 songs on it. I have heard that if i plug it into my computer all those songs will be erased. Is there a way of keeping those songs and being able to plug it into my computer without those songs being erased? I have already thought of downloading all 900 songs from a free file sharing program but it would take too long. If you could help me out that would be great.
When you plug it in, it will ask you to update the firmware (I'm assuming that it doesn't have the latest firmware), and it will also ask if you want to erase and sync the songs onto the iPod that are in your iTunes. Just don't erase and sync and set your iPod to manually add songs and videos, then it won't erase your songs. ;-)
