Jacques doesnt have an AD account, so to repond quickly he posted just that one post using account. Sorry for the confusion.

when you are in touch with VSO and have participated in solving issues, you often get to test the beta version (could be a bonus, could not be depending on if the beta has other regressions--therefore the word beta :))

I saw a new ConvertXtoDVD v2.1.5 was released, but I didn't see bug#406 on the bug fix list.

Is there an estimate on when this real video conversion problem will be addressed?

    Hi there,

Some of the developpers are on vacation, so for now, it might be a little longer than usual.

Thanks. Hopefully it won't be too long.

I'm still looking forward for a beta version to test the fix before it goes public.

    Hi there,

VSO ConvertXtoDVD v2.1.5.173 will/should convert your Real Video [bold]10[/bold] files now.

Just ignore the data stream detected in the logs, this bug is open with VSO.

    http://bugs.vso-software.fr/view.php?id=431

Real Video [bold]9[/bold] seems to be broken in v2.1.3.175.

If you try Real Video 9, let us know if it worked or crashed the application.

Real Video 9 bug here: http://bugs.vso-software.fr/view.php?id=449

Hope this answers some of your questions.

But does that addressed the rmvb container demuxer problem (bug# 406 that you filed)?

I didn't see bug# 406 mentioned in the bug fix list for v2.1.5.

I was using v2.1.4 when I encountered the bug.

OK, I'll upgrade to v2.1.5.173 and give it a try.
Is the version available for download from the VSO site v2.1.5.173?

I'll post the results afterwards. Thanks.

I have tried converting my rmvb files which failed in v2.1.4 and it converted successfully in v2.1.5.173.

    Good job! Thanks!

Didn't check the VSO website for a few weeks and just saw that ConvertXToDVD had a few new versions released already.

It'd be nice if the Version History list contains release dates, like the entries for the v2.1.4.162 and v2.1.5 versions. That way users can know how new each release was.

BTW, how come the fix for bug#406 was never mentioned in the bug fixes list?

    Hello,

You are absolutely right. Actually the bugs list is dynamic and bugs are changed and reopened. The original dyanamic change log is found here http://bugs.vso-software.fr/changelog_page.php and then copied and pasted to http://www.vso-software.fr/products/convert_x_to_dvd/history.php. So I guess the bug 406 not part of the list when it was copied and pasted.

I just copied and pasted below the change log from the original dynamic list

(now we can see the bug 406)

I also suggested in the past for the date to be added. The 'poster' told me today that he would try and remember to do this.

The two bug fix lists are indeed different in many releases.

    Any idea why?

Also, can the release dates be retroactively added back to those versions without a release date now?

    Hi,

The release date cannot be retro active, but as I tried to explain . . . . the original list found here http://bugs.vso-software.fr is dynamic, which means it kind of functions like a forum, a thread that is not updated gets burried under new posts. But an old thread that is updated (and say it is a bug and it resurfaces) it will appear again in the current forum list. Some are classed "resolved" but it they get become "rebroken" then they are opened again and therefore are no longer in the history change log (as it is dynamic and not static).
