does a ROKU supported tv also require a ROKU device and an internet connection either wired or wireless? if yes can I use a pc to tv converter to send my desktop video to the tv through the composite input both audio and video using the appropriate cables? I dis this with my previous tv until it died. I watch ROKU on the desktop sending it to the tv. same with a SMART tv?

If the tv you own right now is a smart tv check your setting on tv to see if it has roku app on tv. if it doesn't then you need a roku device connected to tv and internet to run it. the roku device or app has built in streaming app called MY MEDIA which can use to stream your videos from your pc
