I have VHS recordings of the 9-11-01 aftermath news coverage. I copied it to a DVD. I then put the DVD in my computer to "capture" it using Roxio. I've done this many times in the past with no problems; however, this time it seems to capture the audio, but the video picture stays still throughout the playback. It might change to a different picture if I move to a different spot on the video, but it is just a still shot. If I try to just play the DVD on the computer, it works fine. I did this with two different VHS tapes, and they're both doing the same thing. I also "captured" a few times with the same results. Any ideas why this is happening? Thanks!
Well, I've come up with a theory. I was trying to capture a dvd that I recorded using the "6 hour" selection. I used the same procedure and changed it to just "2 hours" and it worked. Do you think that was the problem? And if so, why?
