I just installed Neroburn 6.3.1.2.5 on my pc with
Windows XP Pro. I'm getting system crashes when
trying to use this program. Do I need to get rid of
    the Roxio software? Thanks

Roxio and nero can sometimes conflict with each other,it is said that roxio likes to take over. Also the "in-cd packet" program on nero can mess things up. In-cd packet may need un-installed.

Not too many people here at AD use roxio. Here's a link that should remove all of roxio's programs: http://www.microadvantage.net/downloads/zapper60.zip

Nero, dvd shrink, and anydvd work great for me.

InCD 4 has a major conflict with Roxio's UDF reader. Even if you do not install DirectCD or Drag-To-Disc from Roxio, it still installs their UDF reader.

If you must install InCD 4, you should use the below link to download tool to disable the Roxio UDF reader first, or you can get Blue Screens that prevent your system from booting up.

I downloaded and then disable the Roxio UDF reader.
When I launched Nero Express I got a BSOD with this
    message. BAD_POOL_HEADER

I would recommend using the Nero Clean tool to uninstall the Nero software and then reboot and do a fresh install. And do not install InCD 4.

I got to looking here and I never did install InCD4.
I installed Nero 6 OEM only. Do I need to get rid of
    Roxio all together? Thanks

I would get rid of Roxio altogether, as I had terrible trouble with it conflicting.
I just use Nero and all is fine.
