Hi, I am very new at the process of burning DVD's. I am able to use DVD shrink and DVD 43 but am then unable to burn using Roxio program. I would be very grateful if anyone could help me out with this?
chelle29 Well, to start with you should just remove DVD43 from your system. That program is not updated and will not help you. Second thing to remember is not to use Roxio to burn a DVD. Even though it says that it is finished most of the time you can not view the DVD. Download a few programs. DVDFab Decrypter. It is free and updated often. Click Me!) ImgBurn is free burning software for movies. Click Me!) Now 90% of the time running the movie through DVDFab and then DVD Shrink works fine but there are some movies that the process will not work as well. I suggest a program that uses a combination of programs to complete the task. You may download the programs that you do not have here. Click Me!) Thanks for your assistance with getting me started, your information was extremely helpful and easy to follow for a novice such as myself. I have been able to download the programs but each time I attempt to utilise Ripit4me it comes up with a msg "the rip seems to have been aborted, Rip cannot continue" Can anyone help me out with why this msg is appearing?
Well, RipIt4Me uses several programs. Read alkohols guide. He will tell you what programs to have installed. I know that you have to have RipIt4Me, FixVTS, DVD Decrypter, and DVD Shrink. You will also need the latest update for RipIt4Me. Normally if I have to download the latest update, I delete the shortcut on the desktop and place the new update in the same place the old version is located. The computer will ask you if you wish to overwrite the old data. Select yes, then after the program is updated create a new shortcut to the desktop. There are two different modes that you can use. Alkohol prefers the 1 click mode, and arniebear prefers the wizard mode. I personally only use it if I have a problem. Normally the latest DVDFab, VobBlanker, and Shrink or Recode2 will handle the movies. There are so many different ways to do it. Everyone has their own preference. Make sure that you have all of the programs on your machine. If RI4M says that it is having a problem, tell it to continue. In many cases, it will substitute cells for blank cells and the rip will complete without a problem.
