I was using dvd rebuilder 1.26.6 and then I tried to update to rebuilder 1.28.2 but now everytime I try to open the program I get a runtime error 5 message. Then I uninstalled it and tried to reinstall the 1.26.6 version but now even that one gets the runtime error. I've got os win xp sp2 How can I run dvdrb 1.28.2 without getting the error 5 message?
Try a complete uninstall including AviSynth. Use a good registry cleaner to remove any traces of rebuilder and then install using the complete installer.
okay, thanks I deleted the key manually in the reg files. Thanks! I the program runs without the error now.
It is very important to handle registry issues during the installation and uninstallation of the program.
