I tired using my S-Video connection on my laptop to play movies on the TV at work. Well, I get the wallpaper and everything else up until the movie is about to begin (even the menus) but when I try to start the movie the screen (or the part that should be the movie) goes purple. If I have the movie open in only part of the screen, my desktop is still visible- just the movie goes purple. I tried Windows Media Player, InterDVD and Interactual DVD players- all the same thing.

    Any ideas? Thanks

What were you using before s-video? component, composite, DVI, or other? You probably need to change the option to S-video either on your labtop or TV
