Safe "overclocking" for performance increase

    Would I be able to "safely" overclock my AMD Athlon XP 2600+ running at 1.91ghz. with 512mb of PC3200 Kingston, running in dual channel ram in a Gigabyte K7 Triton series, AGP8X Motherboard? ...if so please advise me how as I am newbie at this, ...thanks much. ...Would overclocking even be feasible? and what performance gain can I expect?
