samsung hdd problem. help!

    I have just installed a new 300 gig hd. i am using xp pro and it is only recognising it as a 31 gb hd.
    Can anyone help??

    the hd has a jumper on the back of it remove it and put it as cs (cable select)


    the hd must have some kind of jumper setting drawing on it

    Thanks done that . I am now getting 128gb!!
    Any other advice to get the 300gb??

    yes update win xp i guess u have no sp installed so install sp1 to get past 130gb so install sp1 so it could c the entire drive that is going to fix it

    thanks for advice. Went on to samsungs website and got the util for it now have a 300gb hd.
