samsung wont read cd's but reads dvds OK

    System is a p3 750 with 512 RAM
    Just got a new SAmsung CD/DVD writer
    to replace my old crapped out one.
    It will A: read DVDs and commercial CD's
    B: burn DVD's and CD's
    but WILL NOt read my old CD's burned with
    Roxio Easy CD creator...
    - Firmware has been upgraded
    - Any ideas?? TIA

    Easy creator use UDF instead of ISO 9600 standard i guess.... so you need to install the latest version of easy creator that comes with the latest version of UDF Reader (it makes your cd/dvd-rom able to read cds created with easy creator software!!!)

    I reinstalled Roxio 6.0
    and everything sprang into life
