Am I the only one in distress about the 15 minute maximum video split time? I want to load a full-length movie here, not snippits! We need to do a little reverse engineering here and edit that Sansa Media Converter, or use other software.

15 minutes? Wow. I don't really know what SanDisk was thinking when they have that kind of split time. That's not even enough time to watch a half-hour TV show, let alone a movie.

I think if I ever get an mp3 player with video, it'll probably just be an iPod Video or whatever the next-gen iPod turns out to be.

Sansa probably thought that the only videos people would want to watch on the players were music videos and short newsclips. I'm hoping that Sansa will release a firmware update that will enhance video playback.

I think the 2 hour hack works...sracer kind of spells it out very clearly for you in this thread. I'm done with my experiments and have successfully exported Sin City and Dodgeball! Xilisoft DVD Ripper Platinum to a single .avi file, needs the ac3 filter (freebie), chose the right sound track...then boom! Ripped! Yeah, it's cool, but the time it takes...you could just watch the movie and get it over with. I do have a flash Ram Cam, I can drop my home video into the converter and it works...great for sharing. I've joined Urge and am legally using my Sansa with MS Media Player version 11 Beta, I can download clips and convert them...100% Compatibility with "MS-Playsforsure" anti-ipod movement. Expect a serious integration with Vista, but start saving for a nice video card/cpu/memory chip reader. iPod's suck, unless you need to have your handheld...while using your handheld. I expect Sansa e-series to release a firmware with integration into the playsforsure product licensing.

So, you put in 7200 as the value for the split time? I guess since it's in seconds that's what it would be for 2 hours. I went ahead and tried it and it just says to put the file into sansa video converter. Am I supposed to wait with that message on the screen until it plays?

no, the file that gets edited get initialized each time the sansa converter starts. So....make the edits, reboot or stop and restart the sansa converter...notice that the converter initializes each time the device is connected, that should seal the deal.

Has anyone found a jogging arm strap for this device. I haven't found anything yet.

well,i set the split time value to 7200, then i closed out the document. then i opened sansa media converter, and plugged in my sansa. it recognized it was plugged in, and just to be sure, i unplugged and replugged my sansa back in, once again, it recognized my sansa was there. i put in a 30 minute video and converted. after i unplugged my sansa again it restarted. i went to play my video and it didn't work. am i doing something wrong?

I just bought an e250 like 3 days ago and was trying to put a movie on it. I ripped the vob with dvd decryptor, but when I convert it and put it on my sansa, it skips scenes and the voice stays on the scene it skips. I was wondering if there was a way to fix that?

I have been trying to figure out this "editing video segment time" thing. Its not working to our benefit. I just want to clarify... do we make a backup of the .apr file, edit the original, unplug the sansa, plug it back in, convert it, and when it is done converting, unplug it and check to see if it is all one file? I keep seeing 3 files for a half hour vid. I have edited all the fields shown by sracer on the previous page, but it hasn't worked for me. Any suggestions?
