I just bought a Samsung HD403LJ 400GB SATA HDD for my PC, the HD shows up in my bios but the problem is that its not showin up in My Computer......help plz! My MOBO is ASUS P5VD2-X but i dont know if it supports the 400gb HD 3.0Gb/s, so can someone tell me if this mobo supports 48 bit LBA..... Computer Info: OS: Windows Vista Ultimate MOBO: ASUS P5VD2-X CPU: Intel Core 2 Duo 6300 1.86GHz HDD: 80GB Primary HD; (secondary is gonna be the 400gb if supported)
try to rename the drive letter maby it is assigned to a drive letter already in use if not right click mycomputer then go>properties>device manager>find it>right click>properties>driver(S)>update driver this should work
what about reinstaling the driver(in the sameplace ac update) if not r u sure u formated it befor inserting it? if not thers your prob.
Start->Run and type diskmgmt.msc FInd the HD403 in the list, and see what it says. If it's not formatted, right click on it and format it. If it is, go 'change drive letter and paths' and pick a letter that you don't already use. Reinstalling drivers for hard disks almost NEVER solves issues.
i got it workin thanks....but now theres a safely remove hardware icon for the HD, how do i get rid of it?
