    Hi Sc0user.

First post on this forum but I just wanted to thank you for your information re 8882 error. I got the 8882 error during a firmware update and could no longer use the box. I just got the Max232 from TMC today. Connected it to 4pin header on SV4USB circuit board, then serial to laptop serial with null modem cable and used GTromloader to update firmware and box working fine again!!!

Brilliant, great forum and thanks for help again.

    Andrew.

thanks scOuser. 232 worked fine. Box now working again. Only the basic channels though. Tried re-flashing but no joy. Any thoughts?

    Is the keycode on?
    Menu > 1570
Turn keycode on. Exit to channels.

if you are on N** in Ireland i would not bother with it as the most channels you will get will prob be about 10 if not less

ok mate i think you are going to have a problem with that box all you can do is take a chance and turn the box off at the front and dont remove the drive then turn it back on if it comes back on check the system info and see what API version is on it

if it has not flashed you will have to try again

you will need a null modem cable and the 232 and usb adapter if you dont have a comport
