    For My Project I Want To Build A Metal Detector. I also Need To Know Where To Get These Supplies and Especilly How To Wire The Circuit.

    http://home.clara.net/saxons/bfo.htm
    [bold]Parts list
    Power source:
    Any 9v battery PP3 is ideal.
    Capacitors:
    C11= 220uF 16v electrolytic.
    C1,C2,C3,C4,C10= .01uF polyester or polycarbonate.
    C5,C6,C7,C8,C9= .1uF polyester or polycarbonate.
    Resistors:
    All resistors 1/4 watt 5%
    R1,R2,R3,R4,R5,R7= 10k.
    R8= 1K.
    R9= 2.2m
    R6,R10= 39k.
    Transistors:
    All BC 183B. Just about any small signal npn with a gain of 250+ will do
    Audio output:
    A 2.5 inch 8 ohm speaker will work but headphones or earpiece are preferable the higher the impedance the better.
    Many of the above parts could be salvaged from a broken transistor radio.

    Other Transistors will work. For example ---- 2N2222A,2N3904,2SC2240,MPS6520,MPS6512[bold/]

    All parts should be available or can be ordered from Radioshack. Also you can buy a metal detector from Toys R us for less than 50 dollars or Radioshack. Have fun.
