a friend of mine has eurovox 2008 in his bedroom he is running it from the pipe in the sittin room up to the bedroom but he is getting a weak signal alot of the channels are breaking up he is getting about 30 channels but would like a lot more he lives in dublin rathfarnham should he have his own pipe in his bedroom please help

 

Yes , a splitter would cause this problem , try it from the main cable feed

 

yes that worked jus back from his house channels have a better signal the channels that were breaking up are working now should he get ntl to put one in his bedroom thats were he wants it

 

He has a weak signal from the splitter and that can cause problems
He could try a good quality splitter and cable

There is a new firmware realeased for the EV Max V 2008 and this could also help

hi new to all this thought i had an original starview but when i flashed with v4 box shu down ater an hour, anything i can do ??? .any help appricated.

 

To tell whether you have a clone box or original you can count the vents on the top of the box to see :

18 slots x7 rows = clone
25 " x7 " = genuine

 

i have 13 by 7 vents,athread said this was an original and 25 by 7 a clone. any idea about getting it going again

 

If its completly dead with no power it will need to be jtagged

 

i am such a newbee i dont know what "jtagged" is

 

It involves a bit of soldering to bring the b0x back to life
