Hi my friend has an iphone which he got on contract. He carelessly got the screen broke/shattered on it and when he sent it in for repair he was quoted at over 300pound to get it fixed. The screen still works but doesnt look good. Is there any way of him replacing the screen himself?

Yeah, the screen is very easy to replace but the battery is difficult. It's just 2 screws, 2 plugs, and a tiny ribbon cable.

LOL...don't you know that the battery is designed to last longer than the screen? That is why they don't use gorilla glass; if they did, they would be forced to make the battery replaceable.
