Ok, I did something really stupid. I have an avi video and an srt file for subtitles for it, I put them both into the submux program for vosub and mixed them together ( I was really really tired at the time) now I can't get the movie to play at all. Is there any way to undo what I have done or am I going to have to hunt down this avi again?

Never used submux, however AVIMuxGUI is quite capable of demuxing subs that it muxes from avi's. However if you say that the file is now unreadable, then there really isn't anything that you could do.

VOBSub was discontinued and replaced with VSFilter, VSRip, etc. years ago. There is no update for SubMux though.

Thanks for the help. Yeah after I looked closer the file was smaller than it was when I started and since it wrote over the original its gone forever, oh well at least I can use this as a learning experience.
