When i get some free time i'll try that method out as well. Odd thing is I used to have good luck with this crappy media. Now my relative bought me a 100pk spindle i would like to use up before buying some better stuff. Before my reg dvd player would read them and the PS2 now neither one will. So if anyone else has any other ideas or suggestions I could try let me know. Keep them coming. And thanks for all the help I've gotten so far. I really do appreciate it

not sure what else i can tell you other than to try better media.....
..what you need to do do is do what you can before pointing blame at the burner... ie sort out the cheaper things first (media, settings)

Like creaky indicated, I think that you have a media problem. I know that you want to use the cheap stuff up, but with the results that you are having is it worth the time to do it.

I don't understand why decrypter and nero won't finalize the disc. Have you tried to do one with CloneDVD? There is a free 21 day trial at http://www.slysoft.com - it might be worth a try.
