I'll be buying an Xbox 360 and PS3 very soon. With both of those consoles, and a growing need for a portable laptop, I've decided to sell my PC. I would just like to know how much it is worth.

    Computer Specs:

    PC Model: HP Pavilion a1410n
CPU: AMD Athlon 64 3800+ (Venice)
    Clock: 2.4Ghz
Motherboard: Asus A8N-LA Socket 939, nVidia 6150 Chipset
    Memory: 1024MB PC3200 DDR SDRAM (2 x 512mb)
    GPU: nVidia GeForce 7300GS 512MB
    HDD: 200GB SATA 7200rpm
Drive: Lightscribe Dual Layer DVD R/RW + CD R/RW Burner
    9-in-1 Media Reader
Operating System: Windows XP Media Center Edition 2005 SP2

    Comes with:

    Monitor: Mag Innovision 17-Inch CRT
Keyboard: HP Keyboard with Media Controls
Mouse: HP Mouse with Scroll Wheel
Speakers: Cyber Acoustics 2.1 speakers with sub
    Printer: Canon i450 color printer
Games: Half-Life 2 GOTY Edition, Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas, Far Cry.
    Web Cam: Creative NX Pro

Have tried looking for new computers with similar specs? Also check out ebay for similar computers. Also check out completed listings on ebay by checking the box on the left side of the screen for completed auctions. That will give you an idea of what it is worth.

All in all it is worth what someone would pay for it. How do you plan on selling the pc?

I plan on selling it to a friend or family member in the area. I'm am fairly certain one of them will buy it, no problem. I just want to make sure neither of us is getting ripped off.

So instead, find a friend who is computer illiterate and sell it to them overpriced :)

    Deadman45,
It might be worth 200-300 usd as the 939 platform is going bye bye. It's an older system but still very capable to say the least. Iwould ask 500 and haggle because all the extras you have. Of course this is sight unseen on the pricing! good luck!

Thanks guys. I've got a buyer. I'm going for 500, but he will most likely settle for 400.
