oh and i did also try winavi.. ive tried using it in the past n this time it had the same results... it froze up.. but this time it did it while it was at 99% with 1 second left.. i left it converting when i went to bed and woke up it was at 99% so i left it for about a half hour and still same spot. so i ctrl alt del.. for my task manager to come up and it was not responding(same results as b4 when i used it)

That did actually did happen with one of mine using WINAVI. And it only left 2 VOB files come to think of it, no IFOs etc. Man my short term memory needs upgraded. Maybe at some point in the future it will come back to me what caused it. I think I blamed Clone DVD or the Elby Virtual Drive, and also had problems playing DVD copies in my PC DVD Player but worked fine on the PC DVD writer which burned the copies..... de-installed Clone DVD and Elby Virtual Drive, sorted it.

I sometimes get a WINAVI freeze on xx% if I do a big downloads and then a DIVX conversion (probly memory leak in XP Pro).

After you do a big download try rebooting PC to clear out memory properly before converting. Started using Memory Zipper Pro again recently to manage memory better (doesn't slow to a snail's pace after several hours using memory intensive programs).

Try it and see. Who knows... Clone DVD and Elby Drive don't like my setup so I moved to Alcohol 120% (has virtual drive along with it which is good for images also), so far so good.

    Dear dvdplayah,

You need to be more patient and yes, check for errors. It only takes a few minutes.

If you have done that and it still wouldn't work, then I'll tell you what to do next.

So that's really not too bad, considering there could be all kinds of errors with downloaded movies. Anyway, you may try use a different converting program (e.g. DVDSanta) and see if it's better.

    Good luck!

Sorry about missing your posts 'cos I've been out of town. iso is an image file. If you have downloaded one onto your harddisk, you can use DVD Decrypter to burn it to dvd. Just select 'iso-write' under 'mode'. If you want to check before burning, you may create a virtual drive with Daemon Tools, Nero, or Alcohol 120% etc., then 'mount' the iso to the virtual drive for checking or viewing.

Re. isobuster, can't help you with the keygen thing.

As I do not have my toys with me, this is the best I could do for the time being.

    I didnt say everybody...

You are obviously a lamb in need of shepherding.

This is the place for you, I am only trying to inspire you to become a wolf.

As I said, "No offence intended"...

    Have fun.

    Dear dvdplayah,
Sorry for this late reply 'cos I've been out of town all this while. Some programs (e.g. DVDSanta, Nero) would let you choose the video system (pal, ntsc) before transcoding. So if you have an avi or mpeg, you may try this method. But if you have a movie already in DVD compliant format (i.e. with Video_TS folder), then you may need to convert it into avi or mpeg first.
    Cheers!
