    bloody immature spammers. virtually every forum's been hit by dirkyd and masterzorg. luckily just noticed that firefox lets you block images by right-click/block image. cool

    @ddp

    Since they removed dirkyd looks like I'm commenting at you. Looks like the old free ipod spam was tame compared to this barrage.

    i suspect he/they just sat there with the forum page and picked a thread on each forum and knocked up that same reply on each one and sent 'em at the same time, that's all

    I agree creaky thats how if figure he/she/they did it. It's a shame I am just glad my grandkids were not over when that popped up. AD did a really excellent job of cleaning it up in a hurry.

    my kids were sat next to me when i clicked on the first one of those posts. luckily they were engrossed in the console game they were playing otherwise i'd have had hell explaining what was going on. it's not like i can surf aross the room from them, i'm a tad pressed for space :)

    The first one I clicked on was this thread, and I reported. Then clicked another and got it and reported, that is when I realized what was going on and checked and saw everything had got hit. Whoever they are I hopt they don't comeback. I felt sorry for the the noob poster who had asked a question in Shrink forum and that was the first response they got, they probably did not know what to think.

    The spam attack looked like it had been made via some kinda half-baked script, as the post times were quite close to each others. Anyway, such attempts should be blocked now. Obviously its annoying to do extra work because of such morons -- I still remember the recent private message spam attack. But as far as I know, most obvious ways that allow large amount of posts within short period of time have been blocked now.

    Thanks dRD hate to see a great site ruined by morons with nothing better to do with their time. As always AD is on top of the problems.

    Yeah, I was just getting off the comp, when my email went off so I decided to check. Was getting ready to go out the door myself to above all places, Church. Had to say 10 Hail Mary's after looking at that.

    I has been happening to me for hours, all I get is server timeout errors several times have been unable to get in at all. Had to try and logon three times. Started having problems a little bit yesterday, but today has been awful. Don't know what has happened becaue it was running really well. Could not even get in using three different browsers.

    Reverted some changes made to the server settings. Hopefully that'll bring things back to normal.

    Let me know if things improve, or if they turn worse.

    Its better than it was this morning. I had the same problem of not being able to access AD forums. It would just sit there and look at me. I'll see how the rest of the night goes.

    I agree mine is better tonight, at least I was able to login and it didn't give a website not responding error.
