    Server is moaning again for me, got timeouts on AOL and switched to Netscape and got the BlueDragon warning. Never got that before except for ireland's bluedragon pic that I put on my desktop.

    Got to agree it has been bad, but this morning was really miserable. All I keep doing is signing off and signing on, and cleaning out the reg. Don't know if it is the popups causing it or what.

    this has been going for a very,very long time,ever since they left the last servers,the time outs were driving us nuts over at the dvdxcopy site,it got to a point when we posted a post we had to copy it incase a time out hit and we lost our post..ever day here i had at least about 12 time outs or more..drd shut down the search feature to see if it would help,but the time outs are about the same with or with out the search,at the dvdxcopy site.

    @ireland

    Thanks for the info, that is what I have been doing is copying my replys when I know the timeout is coming. I had been losing a lot lately.

    ditto, i do that on most websites anyway, well if i'm writing war and peace anyway, as (in my humble opinion) browsers aren't too robust when it comes to going forwards/backwards without losing replies, never mind adding server timeouts to the equation..

    Oh No - now I'm getting the blue dragon:
    Failed to connect to BlueDragon; check the status of the Java process.

    Group = default
    Address = 127.0.0.1:9988
    The error number is 111

    Same problem for me last light. I could get on the forum home page, but no access through the e-mail updates. It would just time out.

    The problems last night were probably caused by errors in the profile pages which we could not resolve immediately because most of the aD staff was having a christmas party at the same time. 0=)

    Sorry about the inconvenience. Hopefully the fixes made by dRD (see http://my.afterdawn.com/drd/blog_entry.cfm/78 ) helped resolve the issue.
