Hello Im new to posting on this site but have used information on it b4 and you all seem a bunch that knows there stuff,
I live in yorkshire close to leeds braford airport, my setanta vanished on the 2nd nov just like in the other posts, (no liverpool blackburn, no calzaghi kessler) well thought I, I shall find it again somehow. Now i can find setanta with the scans but it then says signal unknown, sometimes no signal, or just black screen, the other channel that went with it was history channel. Im Technically adept as i do this sort of thing for a living so was determined to beat it, i tried this scan & that scan, different firmware flashes, still no joy, i then decided i was going to scan every channel for transponders manually by going to add channel(tp) and as i went from 80 to 900 in increments of 1 i wrote down every channel(tp) that there was a signal on, 79 in all, i then inserted all of these manually, the result was nearly 700 channels same ones 3 times but still no setanta 1. Is it my area thats just having probs, I know what tp it was on but if i scan there is no signal anymore. I noted from earlyer posts there was another yorkshire lad and he found it again. if you are reading can you please tell me the frequency. I would like to get back up and running for liverpool fulham on sat. any help is appreciated, oh my box is a eurovox max v (black) thanks for reading

Yep I know you are on VM but you are in one of their ex franchise areas, your problem has occured on telepest areas thats why I ask. As you say you have a Eurovox, and I do not know the specific frequency for that channel in your area, why not clear your channel data and do a powerscan using symbol rate 6952. I know its a pain if you have your channels sorted to your liking, but this should see Set**ta 1 return for you.

as far as i am aware it is an ex telepest area, my symbal rate is 6952 and i have deleted data many times what with the firmware flashes and just running different scans, im at it right now but i still cant find it, its strange, it was working fine, all other channels are there appart from history, all channels work fine, it think if i have managed to find 79 tp and input them manually and still cant find it there maybe a problem in my area, but then it cant be just coincidence that other peoples went off at the same time but they managed to refind it. im running (have run out) of ideas, i am currently back-tracking going over old ground, and also getting large bags under my eyes again, maybe i should give up and be content with what I have, and go to bed like any normal person would. aaaarrrrgggghhhh

Understand your frustration they are having a similar problem in Falkirk. Seem to be quite localised as most of the UK could be got back with a new frequency. Maybe a weak ts have you thought about trying a booster?

Better off trying a cheap booster for digital TV from Maplins and see if it improves your situation, there are better boosters ideally suited to the Eurovox, but as you want to see if it works best not spend too much money.

does seem to be a signal thing, removed modem & splitter and plugged directly into box found setanta & history on first pass, viewed history ok but satanta just got stuck on updating code, but missing channels were back and tps were there was no signal b4 had signal, will check all wiring tommorow and if still no joy will buy booster on friday, will let you know how i get on, many thanks for your help,
    you have achieved god status
    im off to bed now

hi again scouser, plugged directly in without splitter this morning and setanta is back, plugged in with splitter on either cable coming off its not there, checked all wiring and its fine, it can only be in my opinion that the signal level has been changed as it was ok and then just vanished, I will purchase a signal booster tommorow & let you know how that goes. if this does not work then i will just have to do without internet during football boxing ect which is not such a bind, i dont think its coincidence that other peoples went off at the same time theymust have been tinkering with something, turns out setanta was in the same place it allways was tp had not changed.
once again many thanks for your help i would never have sussed it on my own and would most proberbly be bald by the weekend, and for other people that read these posts, i hope they help

Your problem may be just a faulty or wrong type of splitter. Try change it for a better quality one, e.g Konig brand.
