I have purchased a D-link DSM-520 and I’m using it on a LCD TV in my kitchen. The TV has a resolution of 1280 X 768. Should I set the DMS-520 to display 720P or 1080I? It is my under standing that you want your media device to match you display devices as close as possible.

Most of the content I’m playing on the DSM-520 has a resolution of 1920 X 1080I or 1920 X 1080P. Is it better to have the DMS-520 do the scaling or the LCD TV?

    Thanks

i think your just going to have to try it and see which gives the best result however i imagine that you wont spot the difference on a LCD less than 37"

Ok, your tv has a max resolution of 1280 X 768 (720) so I would set the device to output at 720p.
