Hi was wondering has anyone got a setup guide or tutorial for dreambox 500 satellite receiver and a mobile broadband dongle

Tried running ethernet cable from laptop to dreambox
Opened up network connections on the mobile broadband to allow access

On the dreambox im unsure waht settings to put in for gateway, nameserver etc

Has anyone here managed to get it working and have a tutorial or setup guide

many 3g routers on market. crucial point is to get router that supports your mobile broadband provider. then its a simple matter of putting your usb dongle into the router and running a network cable from your router to your dreambox

as bee suggests this is the perfect 3g router for the Irish market. Since I don't use 3g I would be interested in folks who have bought alternative/cheaper routers that work with Irish mobile broadband providers!!!!!

Have bought the above router and it works perfectly with dreambox, I would recommend it quite highly. Maybe a bit steep but couldn't have done without it as Sat broadband was not working for me due to lag time.

You could have just allowed Internet sharing on the correct network adapter. Though you would have needed to have your laptop/pc running all the time you wanted to watch tv. Sorry, only saw this now.
