    More info required.

    1. How do you connect to the Internet? Modem, Broadband. If Broadband - Router?

    2. The other PCs - are they all networked to the first one?

The simple answer to the question is Yes. Look up in the help files Internet Connection Sharing.

Well done for trying to explain something technical in English. Where are you from?

Let me repeat your question back, so that I understand what you are trying to do.

    1. PC (A) is running Windows 2000 and is connected to the Internet. (Question - how does it connect - do you use a modem and telephone, or a DSL Broadband, or ADSL Broadband)

    2. PC (B) is linked to PC (A) by a Ethernet RJ45 cable - so you have a "Workgroup"

You want to let PC (B) download from the internet and stop PC (A) from doing it at the same time.

PC (B) could share the Internet if on PC (A) you activate "Internet Connection Sharing"

If this is the question, then you can probably do it, though to be honest I would have to play about to work out how.

If you have a router though, all you would need to do is bar a PC at the Router.

    Look up Internet Connection Sharing.
