shrink taking too long

    i just installed the updated shrink and now most of my movies are taking 3 to 4 hours to shrink. is this normal or do i need to change settings? I don't know. can anyone help me?

    no this is not normal

    What are your PC specs
    is your system generally slow

    DVD Shrink default settings should be fine

    I use dvd shrink and it only takes me about 25-30 mins to rip a 4.7gb dvd wots the spec of ur pc???
    that is probly the prob yr pc is either 2 old or 2 slow;)

    well, sorry it took so long. my os was just recently reformatted. I had an older version of shrink and had no problem. I updated to the newest shrink and now it takes like 3 to 4 hours to shrink a movie.

    Using the "Quality Enhancements" as well as "Perform deep analysis" will add considerable amount of time to the backup process.

    It would help if you posted your system specs.

    NEPT,

    Adding to what Flip218 said -

    Your increased time is the product of much increased quality. No problem, simply un-check the Perform Deep Anaylsis and the Quality Enhancements and your old speed will be right back. As a matter of fact - when unchecked, your new DVD Shrink is exactly like the 3.1.7 -

    Just make sure to stop back and let us know if you're happy with the increased speed after the un-checking -
