I have truly appreciated all of you sharing the information about Shrink and DVD Decrypter and Fab. Since I am just a rookie who needs everything simple, I was unable to "yet" copy Lengends of Zorro. I tried Defab but for some reason I cannot seem to get it to burn, because I am a little "cornfused" as to how to go from a-b. So if anyone would be so kind as to assist a novice, would you please step by step help me rip and then bring up and burn my movie - this would be wonderful and so much appreciated on the verge of Valentine's Day! Many thanks. p.s. At this time, I have Shrink, DVD Decrypter, DeFab, and Nero 6.0 to work with.

    keyrom - here's a guide:

You'll need to use the DvdFab guide for that movie.

    cyprusrom -
Just assuming you're no Elle. And No I don't work for Sony, I work for SOccRA ;)

Sorry, we'v... I mean they've been able to get around that tin foil lining since before "Signs" came out. The new method that give's usss - I mean them the most problem is the Anti Magnetic Solar Polyurethane Kryptonite hats (now in headbands too). I believe you can find them on eBay. If not, let me know and I can sell you one. I promise it will bypass those Sony ARccOS&co. people. They'll never be able to see what you are backing up again.

A friend of mine used to say "assumptions are mothers of many f&#k ups! Should not make assumptions, dangerous!

here is another great guide that backups virtually ant DVD; you might want to look at it for future reference. VobBlanker is also a free program.

This sounds great, but I really don't know if I can trust you, since you might be working for "Them". I have to do some research on that one. As for the lead shielding that andmerr suggests,I thought about it but prolonged exposure to lead can make you sick, from headaches
memory problems, fatigue to seizures some other nasty stuff. So, I'll take any other suggestions.

p.s. I did some reserch about the AMSPK hats, and is all bogus. Kryptonite is an imaginary mineral. I will only belive you if you convince me that Superman actually existed.

Thanks for the guides - Beltline! Do appreciate it. Finally got Zorro burned. I was interested in your guide for AnyDVD and Clone DVD. However, I wasn't sure whether you put the blank media in a certain time or you were using two drives? What is the answer, please. Also, I have read a lot of positive things about One Click DVD. Has anyone tried it, and what were the results? Happy hunting.

If you have 2 drives - put the dvd your ripping in the reader then put the blank in the burner. Clone on the last step will list the drives to choose from to burn - just click on the burner - it will default to this one the next time you use.
If you only have 1 drive insert the movie - let it do it's thing - the drive will open and clone will ask you to insert the blank.
I'm not a 1click fan. Used it and unistalled it. A have a friend who is though so everyone has their preferences. Clone imo gives you more options.

So, if you want to burn on the fly, the file should not need compression and the ripper should be able to read 2x faster than the burner. I would advise to copy the files on HDD and then burn the DVD. But like binkie says "everyone has their preferences"

I had the same problem with the Nero update. It quits burning with Shrink. I went back one version of Nero and everything is ok. I think there is a problem with the Nero update when using Shrink. I don't know if Nero will even look into this.

keyrom - it looks like you got things worked out? BTW those are bbmayo guides, he has done an excellent job of compiling/creating various guides for different methods of burning. I highly recommend you bookmark that page.
