Shy Channels on sat with dreambox 500s

Hi, thanks for the reply. The files I'm trying to transfer over are supposedly key updater files (e.g camd.keys, camd.cfg). I got the files from eurocardsharing dot com - satankeybundle. I was informed on another board that they need to go in var/keys on the dreambox.

If I've got this totally wrong I'd appreciate your feedback

as piopat has said, there is no such directory /var/keys/ which would explain transfer failure. also satankeybundle does not incorporate chorus 5e01 keys so its of little use to you

 

balcee i think what you need to do is open var/tuxbox/plugin and ftp the updater in there , then click on the file to highlight it ,right click it and choose attributes , now click on 775 and save , reboot your box. i think that is what you need to do ,hope it helps you mate.

Just wondering if anyone knew why I wouldn't be getting setanta on the DM500? Was showing my dad around it last night obviously first thing he asked was where was setanta

setanta doesn't exist anymore - it went bankrupt before christmas.

Setanta is very much alive and kicking and pushing into Asia and Australia last I read. The UK arm of Setanta packed it in but Setanta Ireland and Setanta 1 is available to Irish customers. Reason you are not picking it up. Two possibilities. It was deleted by mistake in which case a re-scan will pick it up. Are you on satellite or mmds. If satellite then check you have latest satelliet.xml file, if mmds check you have latest terrestrial.xml file loaded on your dm500

 

I'm on satellite, so where can I get the latest .xml file?? This might help me get rid of the rubbish channels too, lots of blank ones or ones the folks have no interest in!

 

nabilo darkstar 11 has the CCcam built into it,is this correct??

 

it might have an alder cccam in it , for cccam 2.1.3 go in to the addons , press yellow on the remote and then yellow again (you will need an ethernet connection).

Nabilo has 2.1.4 now available through addons. garycocs, read the folowing link http://www.satellites.co.uk/forums/dreambox-support-forum/162817-updated-sly-uk-bouquets.html. In here you can set up bouquets on your dreambox. of course when you scan you get a multitude of crap. however the bouquet manager allows you to screen all this out so you only look at what you want. I have set the bouquets to reflect the sly main menu, but without all the channels that I don't want. So then its just a matter of getting used to using bouquets. Takes no time to figure out.

 

guys any body here have any experience with the dm 7020si . i went to flash it today with nabilosat darkstar11 .nfi (i had a look first to see if it had an image on it ,as my other boxes came flashed ) it had gemini project on it , the gp displayed for only seconds and then the screen went blank . the little lcd display showed a prompt to choose tv option (pal etc) but it did not work .so i went to flash it and all seemed ok .untill dreamup displayed flash failed box is now unuseable ,there is no flash erase option in dreamup for this model the new flash just overwrites the old so i have read . i thought i must have flashed with the wrong image and tried to reflash but only get flash aborted (as it happened i did choose the image for the dm500s by mistake) but as it says flash failed and the box still displays the gemini project logo , is there any way to fix this or have i purchased a very expensive ornament to sit next to my tv. any help would be great guys thanks .

 

what version of dreamup are you using. are you are using null modem cable for the flash. i have managed to confuse the dreambox with many different ploys but in all cases i have found that using the serial cable and the right version of dreamup will sort the issue. of course ornaments are also useful

 

DREAMUP V 3.2.1 and null modem cable flashed a fair few boxes with it.

 

u need dreamup 3.3.4.

ok i downloaded dreamup to my usb stick (i have to flash with my desktop )and so i plugged the usb stick in to the desktop and i used peazip to open it . it would not open it says generating errors restart the program but i havent even unzipped it . i deleted it and got it from an other site and tried again still generating errors. so im stuck .
