well if yur mate is using one and its not freezin, should that not answer yer question? go with his

 

I dont spend that much time watching his tv more worried aabout my tv and as I said "he says" it dosent freez

all you need to do is ask the different cline providers for a free test cline ,try a few and see what you think. if you think its ok pay for it .i wouldnt pay for anymore than 3 months at a time. try cs kings.

I know what you mean star66 lots of cs ot choose from I use slybox.tv and find it fine but its not the cheapest but no freezing best thing to do is try a tew

 

gary when i installed a new channel list on my dm500s i noticed that there was no rte 1 or 2 in the the bouqets either but (if using same image) if you press green button which bring up satellite choice and pick 28e (sky) and go through channels you might find them that way. Add them to a bouqet then if you like- thats if you found them, i got my settings from the same site you have the link to so im assuming this might be the case.

I am a Sri Lankan who is new to Dreambox and this forum. Can anyone please tell me what is a "Cline" and how to get it? Is it something like a subscription?

 

example of cline , C:afterdawn.dyndns.ws 12000 robert share1 ,a friend could give you a cline like above if he was setup for card sharing you then put this in to your dreambox (or what ever box you have)enabling you to share his subscription channels. you can also purchase a c line on various sites ( i advise reading up on all this stuff first) before buying anything.

 

guys i need serious help, have 800s installed to tv on hdmi cable have picked up hotbird/astra2 what i want, do auto scan pick up 28 channels they appear to be radio, my sig strength appear to be ok any help appreciated or a link to foolproof installation of a 800s

 

what exactly do you mean carrick? when you do the auto scan how many stations does it say you got? have you made sure you pressed the bottom left button of the dream remote which says TV..... you might have pressed the radio button that is next to it and thats why you ccant see anything.

 

no sitja,when the auto scan is complete it says 28 channels detected and they appear to be radio, now this is a totally new to me while i have read many forums i do get totally confused like other members that is why i asked is there a foolproof installation guide that i have missed and some one might know the link to it,many thanks again

 

i see, other forums might have detailed guides on this try here somewhere- but out of curiosity would you not try manual transponder scan, see if you pick up anything like that- press menu, go to service searching, then choose manual scan, in this menu highlight "type of scan" press over choose single satellite pick the satellite below it (28.2e) and try that way. basically it should look like this:
Tuner= Tuner ADVB-S2)
Type of scan= single satellite
satellite= 25 astra/eurobird 28.2e
network scan= yes
clear before scan= no
only free scan= no

That is the way mine is set and works no problem so give it a go.

 

thanks sitja, in man scan i get 0 services found and when i look at satfinder all my previous data is lost, i have to go back through all menus again, more homework to be done' thanks again

 

make sure dish is set up proper and check coax to dish and box is good. and if using an existing sky dish just make sure your tuner configuration is set up right more than likely the problem lies here.
