you need to look at your satellitel.xml file. this lists all the transponders scanned. if this is incorect then you will not pick up much. how long does your scan take. normally it should be about 30 minutes for a complete scan if you are scanning all available transponders

hi fint tried setting up the smargo today ,i got the smartreader tools and the drivers . thing is there is no driver for the dm7020 ,just the db7025 driver ,the db800 driver and the db8000 driver but no db7020 driver . i had a look around and downloaded smargo drivers for nabilo.zip ,only thing the drivers in there are .ipk files ,the card reader tools file i downloaded first contains drivers that are .tar files . can you direct me to the correct dm7020 driver ,i had a good look around there seems to be every driver but the dm7020 .if you can help at all fint it would be great.

strange. i know that www.argolis.com have come out with more recent drivers. at the end of the day its just a standard usb driver no matter the box. however maybe its best that you do download the more recent drivers from argolis

dm7025 plus, negative no hd, positive two tuner modules. dream multimedia are a strange group. they give you the 7025 plus with usb, then the dm800hd with only one tuner, then dm500hd with an integrated fan as the box melts otherwise, but still with only one tuner and no usb. then the dm8000 that has everything but costs 900 sterling before you put a hard disk into it, never mind a dvd drive. while i don't have a 7025 plus, it is the one box that makes sense to me at a reasonable price

thanks fintanni, as i have set up the 800s i would have liked to have stayed with dream but i was talking to a guy in a television shop and he said he was getting in receivers hd and dual but opposite in size and appearance, did not give price yet, so i was doing a bit of homework, will let you all know what happens.

well i had another try at the smargo ,the ipk files are not the ones to use ,as you have to manually install the driver via your remote (these files dont show up so cant be installed) . the .tar file i have for the dm7025 keeps showiing up as zipped when i know all files are unzipped (which is strange) and lastly there is a text file saying there is no driver for the dm7020 .so i cant use the smargo it seems ,and also when you set up the first half of the smargo best to do it on an xp computer (your fine with the updater bit) but when you want to select dreambox and apply it,it wont apply it and so the smargo wont work .

correct files now sent to you. read the readme file. it is for the 7025 but the steps are relevant for the 7020. just change the names of the kernel modules to be installed. you will need to download vi editor and learn how to use. sorry no quick fix on this. i had to do it myself and its a pain but you'll struggle through it. lastly it should be possible to set the dreambox setting. plug the smargo into a different usb port on your pc and try again. so theres a bit of work for you to keep you entertained tonight

thats a bit of conundrum isnt it, when folk on here are either using illegal boxs to view tv, sharing or getting shared a service from friends or others when not paying for it? He who hasnt sinned cast the first stone

dont be so pedantic, once you connect a box which not illegal to own to a suppliers feed its now illegal, to own a box is not, but once connected to the feed and you unscramble their service, its called piracy, why do you think they are changing their encryption to stop you viewing their content illegally, I am talking about cable.
