    Always the way you buy outside the Uk or Ireland you always have to pay the postage both ways tbh if you cant get locally i would not bother as by the time all the p&p is paid and all the time wasted sending and waiting on the return of the box you would have a new one bought not worth the hassle same with cable boxes you have to pay both ways should your box brake down or go faulty

    Yeah, the problem is that in total i'm down 230 euro, I will keep hassling them to see what they are going to do, at the end of the day you are not going to buy a box from this crowd, if the response is going to be like this, I can get at a tunar myself quite easily, and cheap. It would be better than sending through the post, and it would only cost a few euro more, with the knowledge that it can sent back to the uk if there is a problem, at a reasonable price.

    As I said folks, this could end up running longer than 'Eastenders'

    have a goo at this,from the company.

    Hi,

    Sorry,the only way is to return and we send you a replacement.Any other customs do it. If you don't want,you lose your warranty.I think we can pay the shipping cost from China to you.Only the dreambox(except all accessories and box) back please. Wrap it well and send by the cheap postal service.

    Keep the tuner away from the fan,then it won;t make noises.

    Regards,

    Guys, How do you connect to ymax? if you don't have eircom coming to your house.
    this question was posed to me yesterday evening, by my nextdoor neighbhours.

    500s I got for them, I would be used to the router from eircom, but the ymax is an upright one with only a one rj45 points, One for the pc 45, two rj11 one into wall socket to allow the phone to work, any advice.

    you can get a 4 way extension hub that you connect into the ymax router and you will have 3 spare rj45 sockets to plug into.you should be able to get one in any pc shop.only about 25 quid to buy

    Long time since I've been up here, goes to show the DM500s have been behaving themselves.

    Have just got a problem with a couple of the boxes.

    So every so often after a hard power off I have to reflash the boxes, not a problem.

    Then find the channels, not a problem.

    Then upload the CCcam.cfg shown below

    Code:
    SERVER LISTEN PORT : 12000
    C: 192.168.1.113 12000 root114 root114
    The server CCcam.cfg is shown also

    Code:
    SERVER LISTEN PORT : 12000
    SMARTCARD CLOCK FREQUENCY : /dev/sci0 3430000
    BOXKEY : /dev/sci0 xx xx xx xx
    F: root101 root101 3 1 1 { 0:0:3 }
    F: root100 root100 3 1 1 { 0:0:3 }
    F: root101 root101 3 1 1 { 0:0:3 }
    F: root110 root110 3 1 1 { 0:0:3 }
    F: root111 root111 3 1 1 { 0:0:3 }
    F: root113 root113 3 1 1 { 0:0:3 }
    F: root114 root114 3 1 1 { 0:0:3 }
    F: root115 root115 3 1 1 { 0:0:3 }
    So now I've only one slave box working on the home plug network (114)

    The other ones can get online (check the forums through the box) but say the master is offline?

    I thought it might be the plugs but I've swapped the working slave for a non working slave and the working one stays working.

    Any suggestions lads??

    Thanks
    Gary

    one of the client clines would read
    c: internalipofserver 12000 root115 root115
    for a box that is internal to your router or
    c: dyndnshostname 12000 root115 root115 no
    for a box that is external to your router

    it would seem your dish is not set on astra/eurobird 28 east ,the fact that you have french channels (sky has one or two france 24 and tv5 ) and sky international and no free uk channels would indicate that .

    I know as a server the box needs to be better than a 500 but for testing purposes till i can get the boxes up and running will two 500's be ok. one as a server and one as a external box.
