OK I'm new to burning and copying and just recently bought a new iMac. Ive been searching through the forums but i am completely lost about the terms and software and everyhting. I do not know what programs are compatible for Macs. I dont know the steps to copying DVDs. All I want to do is take a DVD that I have and copy it to a 4.7 GB DVD-R. I do not know anything about encoding or copyrighting. From what Ive read so far, it seems like copying from a DVD to a blank one is relatively easy and quick. Maybe this is just for PCs? Could anyone just give me a step by step guide to copying a DVD. And remember that I am not familiar with any of the terms that I keep seeing. Im often on AIM at bigboy7267; anyone who is willing to help feel free to instant message me.

hey mac ripping, get the programs
mac the ripper 2.66 or newer 3.0
    dvd 2 to 1
    toast 6 or higher

place dvd in drive open "mtr" close dvd player that tried to play. pick mode full movie or title excratcion your pick. once completed open dvd2to1 pick "video_ts" folder mtr made.
once thats complete there should be a new folder you named from dvd2to1, inside that folder has to be "video_ts and audio_ts folder" if not make a empty audio_ts. drag both _ts folders into toast using data mode and dvd-rom (udf) and your done.
email me if you need more help
