I was thinking about getting a gateway 3ds (http://www.r4is.com/gateway-3ds-flash-cart-for-playing-3ds-roms-on-3ds-and-3ds-xl-p-4.html its what i'm looking at currently)or sky3ds for my son, however I dont know what the differences between these two cards, all I know is that gateway 3ds doesnt suppor the newest Nintendo 3ds firmware 9.4.0-21 J/E/U but sky3ds does. I've read a lot of good reviews about gateway 3ds, my question is, when will the gateway official team release the new firmware for 9.0U system? thanks for any suggestions.
It's pretty simple. If your 3DS is on fw 9.2 or lower, get a Gateway. If it's 9.3 or above, get a Sky3DS. Honestly the biggest thing that sky has over gateway is simply the fact that you don't have to be on a specific firmware to use it. I've been on 7.2 for ages now and only just hearing that gateway will "gradually work their way down to lower version". So on the gateway I would have to wait an unknown amount of time to PERHAPS use it, whereas with sky I can just get it and done. There is just one point you need to pay attention that buy from the offical reseller. There is no wonder,gateway 3ds is the best 3ds game card,yet,currently,it only work on N3DS V4.1-4.5,the official team said they have made GW3DS work well on N3DS V4.5+ and will post the updated news soon in its official site,so you can wait for gateway 3s to compatibility or just buy sky3ds,after all,its features were amazing as well and it is the most card to support run 3ds games on N3DS latest system firmware.Got my sky3ds from usa official store http://www.modchipwarehouse.com/buy...-on-n3ds-v90020-or-any-n3ds-console-p-18.html ,ran perfectly without any problems.
