My goal is to rip my DVD's faster than 2x using DVD decrypter. I'm pretty sure with my hardware I should be able to .
    Here is what I have have P4 2.5 ghz's,
1 gig DDr ram, Sony DRU-510A burner, and
    Win2k with service pack 4.
My DVD burner is advertised to read at 12X however when I use Dvddecrypter it only wants to read at 2x. Is this normal?
This is what Ive done so far. Ive checked my settings on the HD and it is set to UDMA as well as the DVD burner. Doesnt seem to be a problem there. Now I've also checked my driver details under device manager for the Dvd Drive and It shows some Windows installed drivers from 1999..Hmmm, I thought
so I checked the driver using Nero and it shows that I have the newest driver installed . I think it is version 1.0. This part confuses me since they are conflicting.
Any thoughts, ideas, or directions would be appreciated

Humm, first check that your ASPI drivers are the newest and that you have the latest firmware update for your writer.

    :D
