    In order to avoid that error message, you have to find the proper rm-file within the smil-file. I had a similar problem. I used three different types of cracked streambox vcr, but in vain. I just couldn't get the proper rm-file. Now here is how I finally managed to do it.
    In my case the smil file was ".../stream_kap3.2.smil".
    I clicked the link and RealPlayer opened. While it was playing the stream, I went to File - clip properties - clip source and there it was "stream_kap3.2_gr.rm".
    Here is a copy of the pertinent parts of the smil-file:
    <smil>
    <head>
    ...
    ...
    </head>
    <body>
    <switch id="id">
    <video src="/.../stream_kap3.2_gr.rm" system-bitrate="200000" region="switch" />
    <video src="/.../stream_kap3.2_kl.rm" system-bitrate="30000" region="switch2" />
    </switch>
    </body>
    </smil>
    The rest was easy!
    I use RealOne PLayer Version 2 Helix Powered, Build 6.0.11.811.

    Happy streaming to all of you!

    but what should i do if realplayer tells me, that i can't view the clip source, because the clip creator doesn't want me to view it?
