A lot of mine too but for people who like this stuff,
In the UK the government make approx £230,000,000 every DAY from tobacco duty.
UK Govt health figures Quote "Passive smoking kills 25,000 a year" LIE!! Medical Council UK Quote "3 or 4 people a year MAY die as a result of passive inhallation of tobacco smoke ( too much air pollution from cars and industry to be able to directly link lung cancer to smoking )"
THey are now trying to outlaw smoking in all public places (will this include the streets and my back yard) within 3 years. I hope all the anti tobacco complainers ,sorry...campaigners are happy when their taxes increase 24.7% to cover the revenue shortfall when we all give up. I own my lungs, I own my xbox, I own my dvd machine and my computer and I am heartily sick and tired of people trying to tell me what I can and can't do with my stuff...My reply to them "you stop driving your car and I'll stop smoking" I don't own a car but I live on a major road and I am being constantly poisoned by vehicle fumes. I can't stop them and say "do you mind not doing that here ****ers"!!
So they have no come back at me for smoking..ps I'm trying to give up really..

    Just a thought for everyone-

If all us smokers in the world [bold]quit forever[/bold] tommorrow, how long do you think before the world went bankrupt?

I think that it would make the economy go down but it would not bankrupt the world.

Ya they would just raise taxes on everything else to make up for it. But that would be a HUGE tax hike.

You must mean beside income tax because even rich people don't eclipse 50% taxes on income (federal & state)

there's property tax and sales tax, etc.

Times are hard in the UK...council tax £956 this year...self employed 33% of my gross, I provide a service 17 1/2 %vat (value added tax!!)on what I charge my customers. VAT on goods I sell 17 1/2 %.Tobacco 96% tax, beer/wine 84% plus 17 1/2%vat on total ( I manage a bar as well as electronics) clothing 17 1/2% Really grim 5% tax on electricity and gas (domestic) 17 1/2 % (commercial) there we have it!!, might as well jump off a bridge (death duty..didn't look at the rate on that!!!)

At least we only got Blair & Howard..they manage to make George "Dubyah" seem intelligent..Sorry to hear you unemployed...try modding xboxes for a living, Bill Gates is going to put me out of business in the new year!! Remember Dennis Leary "No cure for cancer"

While I was writing that last post my best friend committed suicide..I'm really freaked out and down..I don't know why he had to do it...There didn't seem to be anything wrong with his life, just maybe a bit fed up.. It's made me sit down and think about things, like how no matter how long you've known somebody, you never really understand the person inside..I thought we could talk about anything but maybe he couldn't talk about what he really needed to...From dust we come and to dust we must return...In memory of Chris Walsh..1967-2005..Rest in Peace my dear friend.......
