NO!!!! DONT sack Houllier, its been great for all the Man Utd fans lol. As for the premiership, this time last season when Arsenal ballsed up and let us win, we were only 6 points behind....I do think the premiership is over. Right now we have to concentrate on getting the FA cup victory over Arsenal and to win it. Champions League should be interesting in about an hour....cant wait :)

Well Man Utd crashed out of the Champions League to Porto, must admit im surprised, but they still have the F.A cup and also the premier league. There nine points behind arsenal (3 games). So if arsenal go on there traditional fall apart mode, there are 11 games left a total of 33 points aviable, i wouldn't write off Man Utd just yet. As for the sacking of Houlier, it would be a dream come true, but one i doubt will happpen. Liverpool seem to have a tradition, they haven't sacked a manager in 50 years, no matter how bad he preformed.

Well... I live in Mexico so I am a big fan of this two teams:

Aguilas del América and Manchester Utd.

By the way... let's hope they win at Brazil (Aguilas) 'cause that will get us to the other round.

Yep united crashed again. Poor referring and unluckiness did it this time. Another injury as well...Also, i am a bit of a fan of Aguilas, but prefer the Argentinian (River Plate) and Brazilian (Sau Paulo and Corinthians) a bit more :)

Is it just me or does anyone else think Darren Fletcher is absolute muck? Last night capped it all off. Alex Ferguson thinks that he can replace David Beckham with an inexperienced kid and expect to get results. He brings nothing to the team.

I think Darren Fletcher is pretty good actually. He didnt have the best of games alst night, but his role had changed to a more defensive one once the goal had been scored. It was a very scrappy match, im still very disappointed about it.

Daost - I'll be going for liverpool to win on Thursday as well. Hope Baros starts though, he is soo good. Although, if it comes down to supporting Liverpool or Celtic, it will have to be the boys in white and green ;-)

Sorry man but every time I see Fletchers name on the team news I fear the worst. Hes done nothing to impress me. As for liverpool yeah its always good to see domestic teams go far even if it is not the most important cup. I cant see Celtic going through

As last years finalists, they did well. With Larson on his last year here, i think you can see him trying to win the European Cup with Celtic. Barcelona are unpredictable, they are doing well at the minute and Ronaldinho is playing well. That could all change though. Who knows to be sure...

On Fletcher, i think he is good, but he is more of a Phil Neville type player, will take time to get to his level of ability. Ronaldo would be a preference for me each time though.

Eric Djemba Djemba has a broken rib, Ronaldo doesnt look good and may be out for rest of season. Silvestre is still out. It keeps getting worse for us....

Hehe, it was celtic who [bold]knocked out[/bold] liverpool last year. They rightly deservied it.

Yeah, i was going to point that one out. Remember everyone couldnt decide to be happy or sad because half of the Liverpool supporters are celtic supporters as well. It was great to hear a whole stadium singing "You'll Never Walk Alone" and the "Fields of Athenry". Also all the sipporters (well not all, but most) had scarves that had celtic on one half and liverpool on the other.

I always think that Zinadene Zidane is overated. Take last night for instance. He did some amazing quick footed trickery, but every time his final delivery or pass was pathetic. He gave the ball away most of the time. Now take Roy Keane: No trickery at all, but solid and always makes the passes. I know if i had to choose which one to have on a team, old Roy would get my vote.

    O'neill for liverpool~heh~....

yeah was a great atmosphere last year at anfield I likefields of anfield road to ....

roy keane I rated a few years ago as the greatest midfielder box to box in europe he is still a great player but think he has lost a lil of his edge I think its called age ....that made him that player

I disagree with that. Ok, he isnt as much of a goal scorer as he used to be, but i think with his experience he controls the midfield so much better than anyone else. I have seen him come on in games where there was poor passing and control and holding of the ball in midfield. WIthin a few minutes, UNited were all over the teams. He really is the heart and soul of Man United.

I agree with Oriphus. Keane might not have the flair or finesse of Zidane, but he makes a huge contribution to the Man Utd side and has being doing so for the last 10 years. What he lakes in flair he makes up with shear determination. He holds the team together tight at the back, and it this performance from him, that has helped man utd get where they are today. It would be interesting to see who Ferguson has in mind to replace him, when the inevitable time happens. (Hopefully won’t be too long for us non-Man utd supporters)

wow wow Oriphus ~heh I would never decry Keane in any way shape or form as far as players right now of the last decade .......theres him n shearer thats it My point was....whether you agree or not on this but I truelly believe Keane has had his BEST days at man utd .......yes granted he is still a great player ..... as you put it I cannot argue he is the heart n soul of man utd if he played on tuesday I would of backed man utd to win ......on the part of ZZ against RK well we are talking 2 different scenarios ......I would love n both together but if I had to choose one in his greatest days hey it would be keane .....NOWE I would choose ZZ every time n no I aint even saying Keane is a bad player now he still is ya engine room .........for all nicky butt is he would never be a keane ....

as gozilla syays who COULD replace RK doubt any could now

oohh n for the record I thought LFC were a disgrace tonite apart from SG and MB

Well they can still save it if they do well in France.
Although if they preform like they did 2nite, which is sadly by liverpool standards considered good, i don't think liverpool will be progressing any further in this tournament.

And thus will end another bleak year for liverpool, whos goal the entire season was to finished 4th place. Seriously, for a team like liverpool, aiming for 4th spot should be unacceptable!!!

I hear you about Keane ;-)

I dont think Liverpool were that bad. Gerrard and Baros were very good, actually Baros was exceptional. If only Liverpool could always play the way they did in the closing minutes. Was amazing...

gozilla I sadly agree with you on the france trip I doubt we will do it but will cheer em on as ever as its religeon......

on the 4th place its a disgrace we should even be contemplating such a place truelly just not good enuff for LFC

Oriphus exactly for some odd reason after we score 1 goal we revert to being negative and trying to hold the 1-0 instead of carrying on forth for a 2nd n possibly a 3rd ......

on the last few minutes yeah it was very entertaining :)
