yea i can't get any version of sd boot working. yes everything is in gcgames folder (all caps) yes i ran defragmenter. yes im using an sd card although its by pny and its 1 gig. the kingston microsd 2 gig don't even boot. the sandisk 4 gig is sdhc and is what i wanna swap to but i gotta get sd boot working first. how do i know which cards work though?

Well, I got mine a couple days ago and just today I was able to try it out. Like you said, dude, action replay shows up along with freeloader when I boot up the disk (both run perfectly fine, which is SA-WEET) and I was able to run the GCoS 1.5 .dol file from my SD card (i'm using like a 500MB SanDisk microSD/TransFlash card that I normally use to play songs through my cell phone lol). The GCoS screen like the pictures in the first post showed up with no probs.
Now, all I gotta do is eventually see if I can run backups. I don't have the money now to buy mini dvds or a gamebit if I gotta tweak the laser so if anyone one of you guys tries running backups, post results!
Man, this launcher was totally worth it. :D it's 3-in-1!

yep. well seeing how running games from disc drive and runnin games from the sd has its obvious pros and cons, i would just go with sd loading simply cause you get 1 big card and thats that. saves money and the laser. xD

    2.put it on slot b
    3.run the dol
    4.it should work

if not ill post a picture of how the memory card i use looks like

    Here it is:http://www.megaupload.com/?d=8WQG8TH2

oh what the heck a extra for you dude look at this link bout sdload and how action replay will work(kinda shows how)

Hmm... i followed the steps u posted, wiifreak but there's a box that pops up at the action replay menu and says like "insert Action Replay hardware in slot B"?

But anyway, what's so big about this Action Replay .dol file you uploaded, wiifreak? is it a version that allows you to add the code to run SDLoad / act as an emu & play SNES games and whatnot?

man, i tried it again and still nothing. :/ It's alright tho... all the games i have are already listed in the menu that's on the cd, so i don't really need it.

Ok, I got same big news. Basically, I'm able to play SNES roms on the cube!!!! It's really simple but here's what I did...

1: Watch this (it's pretty much what I followed, but I'll explain what I did anyway in this mega post lol): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jK9jG9Ddwjk
2: Download this--SNES9xGX 2.0 1b8--it's a "port of the popular PC emulator SNES9x for the SNES that runs on the 'Cube" (i uploaded it to my site): *clicky*
3: Unzip it and copy the file "snes9xGx201b8-sdslota.dol" onto the SD card.
4: Download some SNES ROMS to dump on the SD card. I found a lot of torrents of SNES ROMS on mininova.org, but here's a pack of 21 ROMS i uploaded to my site: *clicky*. --As you'll see, the SNES ROMS have a ".smc" extension at the end of the file names. You want that, or you can even have them individually as ".zip" files. Either way works, but having them as .zips takes a little longer for the SNES9xGX to run them since it has to unzip it to play it.
5: Once you have the SNES ROMS, make two folders on the SD card--first one titled "SNESROMS", second titled "SNESSAVE." Dump the ROMS into the "SNESROMS" folder.
6: Next, put your SD card into the adaptor into Memory Slot A and run SDMediaLauncher. At the SD card menu, click the file "snes9xGx201b8-sdslota.dol" that you copied earlier. --It'll bring you to the emulator menu. Click "Choose Game">"Load from SD Slot A". You'll see the ROMS that you dumped into the "SNESROMS" folder all listed there.
7: Click on whatever game you want to play! If you want to save your progress at anytime within one of the SNES games, toggle the C-stick on the controller left which will bring you to the emulator menu. Choose "Freeze Manager">"Freeze to MC (memory card) Slot B" (you should have your regular gamecube memory card in Slot B and the SDlauncher in Slot A). You can then return to your game and when you want to load your game save, toggle left to the menu again, choose "Freeze Manager">"Thaw from MC Slot B". You'll load right where you saved!

THERE U GO, GUYS!!! Lol hope it works for you guys too. I didn't need SDLoad or anything else for this to work. :D

And no, i haven't been able to. :/ I'll most likely just burn the .isos to discs, IMO, since i don't know any other way.

oh. lol. getting snes and the other emus for gc was easy. Just read the readme and made the correct folders for games, saves, etc. Now I'm just awaiting the day emu_kidid releases a wii64 emu that can run games at full speed. Looks like sd boot will never work with sdml unless he gets sdml himself and does the testing with it.

yep. genesis, nes, mame, etc. I just decided to get all the emus for gc. I wish sd boot supported sdml or sdload supported gcm files. That's really all i need to load. gcm files from a sd card.
