Now I'm really getting pissed off. The SD Media Adapter just crapped out on me. I made sure it was all the way in as well as the card. Datel sure does make some cheap products.

I have bought sd media launcher without sd card from codejunkies which took one month to arrive! they didn't say that is was out of stock and on backorder but atleast they didn't charge my card until they shipped it, the thing is i had to pay an intl fee because they are not located in the U.S which i didn't know. Anyways i use mini ritek ridata G04 purchased from amazon and most of those discs give me an error telling me to refer to the manual. I had no problems with full size memorex dvd-r media burned with an external samsung burner i had to buy from newegg since img burn kept giving me a i/o error on my hp laptop. I now need a black replacement top does anyone know where i can find one?

Man Datel is REALLY cheeap. This is what they said.
Can't even give me a free replacement they're so cheap. When I can I'll get a better gecko. not one that if I pull the sides apart I can see the insides.
Try Foundmy They seem to have variations of a replacement but even though it worked I wouldn't recommend memorex discs. They may work now but 6 months later your gc/wii will be getting DREs!

well if it's to be burned to a disc then yes it has to be 1.35 gb. If on sd card just leave it as it is or shrink it if you desire.

yes. anything that you can plug into the gc memcard slot with a sd card in it is known as a sd gecko.

I need some help, I just got my media launcher, I put Gcos 1.5 in and read instructions and whatnot. So I'm trying to boot the game, but even retail games wont boot, it says media not recognized. Yet the GC works fine with the default OS. What do I do?

EDIT: Nevermind, it worked with Gcos 1.x beta.

EDIT2: Nevermind, the burnt discs didn't read, so I tried using the pen method to open, but the top part of the pen broke off inside, so now I am screwed. Probably going to sell it cause the GC still works fine.

EDIT3: Got the new Gamecube, screws too tight and smelt like cigarettes, traded it in for another used one (no charge), screws came off easily (I only had trouble with the Platinum cubes). Burnt games with IMGburn, they kind of worked but not really.

Burned with CloneCD, burns worked way better. I couldn't get Mario Power Tennis to read with IMGburn, I tried 3 total burns, one on 2x, one on 4x, and one with another computer. All of them failed, I couldn't even get passed the Press Start screen. I tried a 4th time with CloneCD, worked.

i recommend that you try on a sd card and use sd boot to load it. You have a dol-001 cube right? If the games don't work burnt then try them on a sd card. If its on sd you can always delete it if it doesn't work instead of having to throw a disc away.

Hey, I love the guide, my birthday is coming soon and im going to get this stuff.

I do have one urgent question though. Using GCos and a broadband adaptor, can I upload GameCube games to my computer, or do I also need PSO online 1&2?
