Softmodding an Xbox Tutorial

@Marusha - If you get logged off a session at Xbins, you have to go back to MIRC and do the command again to regain access. This has to be done EVERY time you renew a session to Xbins...

HOW DO U GET THE EVOX DASHBOARD. i have downloaded the flash fx and i got the account name for the mIRC and everything so what do i need to do to get the evox stuff?

3 questions i dont really know if this fits in the modded halo 2 maps but o well... 1. so you unistall ude later when you want to get back on xbl??? 2. if you want to get on xbl but not get banned can u c-restore and then after you will have a better chance of not getting banned? 3.i forget this question

SUP GUYS IM BACK I HAD ALREADY softmodded my xbox for HAlo2 and with in 2 days i got banned!!! So i Strogly suggest u play the game as it is!

K I cant get on XBL, I followed a tut for Splinter Cell.
I can FTP to my xbox. I can mod the Maps.
BUT I cant get on Xbox Live can someone help.
I do have a secret account that don't matter if it gets banned, and yes i used a crap box because it loads the downloaded maps and not the ones on the disc. Yes I have Read All the Post and Replies but I just get More Confused.
If it helps I'm using UnleashX and used the Splinter Cell save.

[bold]@EVERYONE WHO DOESN'T KNOW -[/bold] Okay, it seems to me that most of you who are having problems don't know what is going on. A "softmod" is referring to actually MODDING YOUR XBOX. It's basically the same thing as having a chip installed, except without the chip. The same rules and restrictions for softmods and chipmods apply on XBL. Meaning, if you have a softmod or chipmod, and go onto Xbox Live, there is a good chance you will get banned. The chances are a bit greater with a softmod because there is no actual "switch" to turn it off, save for booting the game you want to play directly when the Xbox powers on, therefore not booting to the modified bios. Anyone who has XBL, if you want to play XBL and don't want to get banned, buy another d@mn Xbox and stop trying to play it on the modded one. I don't even know what all this crap you guys are talking about Halo 2 softmodding is about. You don't "softmod" Halo 2. You hexedit the gamefiles to patch them with PPFs. UNDERSTAND WHAT IT IS YOU'RE TRYING TO DO BEFORE YOU TRY TO DO IT!

 

@Heretic1 - Call me crazy, but why would you hack a game and then play it on Xbox Live??? Didn't that register to you that you would be banned???

My brother in law had his done by them, they did a pretty nice job, everything came back in working order, fully ready to go, and in 1 week turnaround...just for those of you interested...i wouldn't get one of their pre-mod packages though, they seem a bit high...

 

Ok anyways ive already used xbl and i got rid of it but when i try to install the softmod using mechassult i get a screen with my xobx needs service anyways the last time i used live was today. can someone plz tell me why soft mod wont work and i keep getting a screen with eror 21. ps i have the original version of ma

Yeh i just wanted to see if it worked on line sure did!! but did nothing much they found out so quickly! And besides most of the websites that are letting u dowload the modded maps are not letting them download anymore they disabled them!

 

OK guys speaking from the heart, Dont mod ur dam xbox bungie has sent all messages to all the websites that support softmodders threatning to sue! Might be a Massive Ban! 5 of my mod freind have already gotten banned includding me? yet i still have a xbox that is not modded. I to think its getting rediculos every game i get in i get modded on!

 

It isn't the stance to not mod your XBOX; softmodding or modding (whichever you prefer) is fine, but why in the Hell would you want to play on XBL if you know damn well your XBOX is modded!

I mean, I wouldn't mod my friend's XBOX, and then buy him XBL!

If you don't want to get fucked during your online play, well, then, report the user to Bungie.
