I am trying find out where the software exists to transfer recorded video to a computer running Windows XP so that it can be archived onto a dvd-r/rw for later viewing. Comncast can't help. saying that there's a legality issue about playback and money, but I'm in it for my personal use. Motorola can't help either, saying the software from them is currently not available to the end user (us) yet. They say you can transfer recorded programs to vhs, but not to dvd. I've tried ethernet cable connection, status: limited or no connectivity. IEEE-1394 connection finds new hardware, but asks for the installation cd (disc) to install the software. Anyone out there know of a fix for this problem?
