Some of my software will not connect to the internet???

    Hey all.
    I have DVD Profiler and iTunes that will not connect to the internet (and probably some others that I haven't checked out yet). For DVD Profiler it states that Socket Error 10061 and itunes just states it cannot connect.
    I tried to download the Opera browser a couple of days ago and it didn't work at all. Could something have happened in the downloading stages?
    I have Windows 2000 Pro and I'm just lost.
    Any help would be much appreciated.
