My apartment was broken into last friday night and when we were looking to see what they stole we found that they had dropped a burned cd-r snoop dogg cd.
I already gave it to the police, but is there a way to read the information on the cd to found out who burned it and/or where?

These people took two laptops, our plasma tv, and xbox 360. I want to find them.

sorry to hear of the break-in it's one of my biggest fears :(
regarding the disc I don't believe there are any traceable details apart from possible fingerprints on the disc itself
I don't believe the burn itself could be traced but fingerprints and handwriting on the disc might help the police alot
hope you get it resolved and catch them !!!

actually the person's CD/DVD burner wrote its own unique ID code into the data of the CD. Usually the burner's model #, make, Serial # or some variant of those.. Not much good seeing how those dont give the police any real info to work with.
