As I sit here on a rainy Sunday in LA, I decided I needed a break from studying for finals and grading my papers, so I found some quotes about my favorite past times to cheer me up. Enjoy!

"I would never do crack... I would never do a drug named after a part of my own ass, okay?"
    -Denis Leary

"He was a wise man who invented beer."
    -Plato

"Beer is proof that God loves us and wants us to be happy."
    -Benjamin Franklin

"Giving up smoking is the easiest thing in the world. I know because I've done it thousands of times."
    -Mark Twain

"Cocaine is God's way of saying you're making too much money."
    -Robin Williams

"The answer to life's problems aren't at the bottom of a beer bottle, they're on TV."
    -Homer Simpson

"Reality is just a crutch for people who can't cope with drugs."
    -Robin William

    Ahhh. I feel better already...

I do enjoy watching football (American football, that is), but my beloved Raiders game wasn't aired, and they lost. I'm just glad I'm not a hockey fan living in Canada right now...LOL

Yep, they're on strike. A multi-million dollar hockey areana was just finished west of me here in Phoenix and guess what? It's empty and hasn't been used yet because of the strike.

I'm pissed about it anyway because I used to be able to get cheap tickets to go see the Coyotes play only sport I like and now it's $50 for a halfway decent seat. Hockey's going the way of all the other sports - the working man gets f*cked out going because he can't afford it.
