I thankyou for your comments and just posted in Nero a couple of other questions but forgot about the Clean program. So if I understand correctly, my version of 6.6.6.0 is the correct current one before Ultra 7 which I have a post in the Nero forum on or am I reading you wrong??? Thankyou
http://filehippo.com/download_nero_burning_rom/?539 check this site for more versions maybe your safe with 6.6.6.0 just stay away from nero 7
Hmmm, I see I just did a post inquiring about Nero 7 Ultra. Is your comment because it is so bloated or is it b/c it is buggy yet???? Seems there are so many mixed reviews about this program???
I ran 7 for awhile its big I got errors i made coasters so I went back to 6, glad I did, no errors runs alot more stable, just my 2 cents what su-ks is I paid a for a big program that I no longer use
I got you, but are you using the version 6 that I am and have been comfortable with? That is version 6.6.6.0??? And again sorry to repeat but is that the latest version or is the .18 the latest? Thx and cheers.
In my opinion, I would say go with Nero 7. Yes, it's true that some versions from Nero 7 has bugs, but every softwares/programs has bugs. I've been using Nero 7 and so far I'm satisfied with it, been using Nero Burning Rom and Nero Express to burn movies, audio cds and PS2 games (ISO) and I've never experiences any issues whatsoever. Perhaps, I'm the few that gets lucky without bugs. Again, Nero 7 Premium for me hands down. We all have our own preferences and choices, so the choice is yours.
OK what will 7 do that 6 can't and what version 7 do you use I have nero 6and 7 roxio 6,7and 8 they all do something different maybe I did not run nero 7 long enough to learn like it . you notice I said learn
I must say I agree with the last post as the versions available up here in the great white north which I don't intend to unwrap and chance the install of a night mare on Elm Street when all the version titles are confusing in themselves. The versions and all the information on the boxes say is: Nero 7 Ultra Edition and Nero 7 Corporate Edition and there is nothing around here in a box that says Nero 7 Premium??? All of this discussion and Editions make me feel very skittish about their once well respected (at least I thought????) program. Sounds like the product has become another Symantec Systemworks trying to do far more than is needed and not much testing for bugs; IMHO. Best Regards
I agree they want to be a Walmart store of the software (offer everthing) but they're not the only ones
Nero 7 Ultra and Nero 7 Premium is basically the same, just different marketing that's all. I strongly deemed that Nero 7 Premium is for Europe/Asia and Nero 7 Ultra is for US. However, it shouldn't matter regardless, they're both the same engine/program. I've been using Nero 6 for ages and now Nero 7 Premium and I've never encountered any burning issues. Not just burning movies and audio/music cds, but converting AVI into DVD with Nero Vision, transcoding movies with Nero Recode 2, watching movies with Nero ShowTime, etc. Again, maybe I'm just the few that gets lucky that's all.
I agree with the last post and I also add that here we are being marketed with Ultra 7 and Corporate 7??? Huh??? And we all use it for work, so what is the diff ??? and why try to confuse the enduser if it is a GREAT product???? Regards and no "Premium" Edition here, only in "gasoline"!!!!
I just wanted to clarify, b/c of an earlier member's comment about Sonic Record Now on my toshiba notebook and I have confirmed both by a prior issue and with the toshiba warranty depot that I need the program on my notebook in the event of any future issues; which I found out the hard way when I had a problem with my notebook and had uninstalled Sonic Record Now when I took my new notebook out of the box as I was going to install Nero. The Toshiba Warranty Depot said that all I should do is disable Sonic Record Now from "Startup" and then there won't be a conflict at Boot Up and then the program will simply be sitting on the desktop in the event that I need it for any future problem. I simply wondered if this made any sense at all to experienced end users? Also in CD Freaks there were 2 members that posted and indicated that they had Sonic Record Now installed that came with their Sony Vaio and they also had Nero 6 and there were no issues. Could this be as a result of the brand Sony, personally I did not think so. I thought it should be the same as for Toshiba. I was wondering if it is another Roxio program that conflicts with Nero, a specific version of Sonic Record Now possibly??? And I will remind that the version of Nero that I plan on using is the 6.6.6.18 that I am satisfied with the stability for me and as well the results that it gives. I look forward to experienced comments, thankyou
